A Time To Rebuild
Now that the temporary bridge has been built we need to rebuild our community. Now the real work begins. Not just for all of the businesses affected by the bridge closure but for all of us in the community. While we were drowning in traffic in our streets, business owners, managers and employees all suffered close to if not a complete drop off in foot traffic.
September Is Coming
This 100% community project is going to continue to promote and work with businesses in order to help them all back to their feet. We have several business outreach projects in the works that we will continue to roll out one after the other building up to the bridge closure again in September. Each project will provide unique opportunities and access to resources that are all designed to revitalize these businesses so they can thrive.
Business As Usual
We have yet to grasp the full effects that this catastrophe is going to have on our community. The greatest mistake we could make is to fall into a false sense of well being with the temporary fix in place. It is important that we continue to push forward as a community until the permanent solution is in place. We sincerely hope that all of the businesses that were open when the bridge collapsed are still in operation and fully staffed when the permanent solution is in place. Only then will we be able to get back to business as usual.
We Are Still Open
This is why we are going to continue to reach out to businesses and customers alike in order to help connect one to the other. In the end, our goal is the same as it was when we started. So businesses can proclaim to the world that when all is said and done We Are Still Open!
