Hadrian Art Gallery Is Donating 20% Of July Sales to Skagit Women's Shelter
Experience the work of local and regional artists all under one roof at Hadrian Art Gallery in Bow-Edison. Using a variety of mediums, many of the landscapes, sculpture and mosaics are inspired by the beauty of the PNW. July's show title is "Empact".
Houston Foist chose this word because it is a powerful word that expresses a commitment we have to engage with our surrounding communities and make a difference. When you make a purchase during the month of July, Hadrian Art Gallery and its seven featured woman artists will give 20% of sales to benefit Skagit Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services, providing free and confidential support to victims of abuse.
Join Hadrian Art Gallery on July 6th for the show opening at 4-8 pm with free admission with drinks and snacks provided by Moon Rocket Pizza, raffles and more!
Jennifer Bowman (art pictured above) paints flowers, like poppies and tulips and depicts the floral appreciation of the Skagit valley. She is a prolific workshop instructor too, and loves teaching her techniques to aspiring artists.
Kellie Becker (art pictured below) is a Bellingham abstract artist who works with heavy layering techniques and imaginative abstract designs.
Anne Martin McCool is a long time Anacortes artists works in the spirit of the mystics and Northwest School of Art with a special attention to the mystery of PNW landscapes with abstract renderings from local scenery.
Jaqueline Mildner is a Bellingham liquid abstract artist works on canvas of all sizes from very large to small and aims to depict a sense of beauty in nature she fell in love with here in the PNW
Betty Miles is also inspired by the northwest mystics, much like McCool both artists have been in the business long enough to have ties and associations with the Northwest Mystics but still create art today
Maria Wickwire works in ceramics and her subjects are typically beautiful abstract figures of women with fantasy and whimsical attributes, or that convey thoughtful life struggles of women.
